This time of year it’s hard to keep up with the sudden weather change. So prepare yourself for anything with these super foods!

Garlic

Garlic is an amazing super food. It’s packed with vitamin C and has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial qualities. These benefits are better if you don’t cook the garlic. I always put a little raw garlic on top of my foods, just to get these benefits.

Citrus Fruits

Oransuper food, healthy, immune boosting, healthges, Limes, Grapefruits and Lemons are all great snacks to munch at to avoid the common cold since they are full of vitamin C.

If these are too acidic, try strawberries, kale, cucumbers or even red peppers for another source of vitamin C.

This greeny-goodness has vitamin A and plenty of Vitamin C, along with antioxidants. It’s also better eaten raw, so you can blend it into a smoothie, or even a pasta dish.

Even adding it to the top of a fully cooked food will make it heat up, but not to the point of cooking out all these great benefits.

Turmeric

You can find this ground spice in most curries, but this little super food is a great anti-inflammatory! It can also help with gastrointestinal issues, arthritis and prevention and treatment of the common cold. And if you want an easy recipe for using this spice, try this Liquid Gold Cinnamon Tea, or even a Bedtime Tea.

Ginger
