How Chiropractic can Help with Epilepsy

Epilepsy and Chiropractic

In a recent article, dated August of 2016, a 23-year-old woman was suffering from epilepsy. She had been struggling with them since she was 21. She would have two seizures a week. From the large amount of seizures, she had dropped almost 50 pounds. She had also developed depression, anxiety, migraines, allergies, severe fatigue and memory loss.

Normally, people who are suffering from seizures are generally treated with some form of medication; however, 30% of patients are not managed by the medications.

Her doctor had prescribed a large dosage of epilepsy medication, along now with medication for her anxiety and depression. But even being on such high dosages, she was still having seizures twice a week.

She decided to give chiropractic a try, starting out with three visits per week. Within two months of her care, she was completely alleviated of her anxiety and depression. She also started to feel an overall improvement of herself. The young woman then made the decision to begin taking herself off of her medications. She continued with her care. By her six-month evaluation, the young woman was off all of her medications and was free of her seizures.
