Ways to Help Meniere’s Disease
Meniere’s Disease is a disorder of the inner ear that causes moments in which people feel as thought they are spinning (vertigo). People may have fluctuating hearing loss with a progressive, ultimately permanent loss of hearing. Ringing in the ear (tinnitus) and sometimes a feeling of fullness or pressure in your ear is also a common during Meniere’s Disease.
300 patients suffering form Meniere’s disease underwent chiropractic care. In each case subluxations (misalignments) in the bones neck were found.
Patients were asked to rate their condition with a scale of 0 to 10. 0 being no symptoms and 10 being the worst possible. A majority of the patients said their condition made daily activities difficult, like driving, working and having relationships.
After six weeks of chiropractic care, the average score of their 0-10 level, which was an 8.5, lowered to 3.0.
In long-term follow-ups, their scored improved even further, reducing to a 2.0 after one year. Then 1.4 after two years, and finally, 0.9 after three years.
In 291 of the 300 patients, chiropractic care greatly improved their symptoms and made it possible for the patients to go on with their life fully.
